Charming illustrations that bring a smile to your face
今回イラストをお願いしたのは、アーティストのくらはしれいさん。イラストは、書き下ろしイラスト作品「ミルクの時間」の世界観をもとに、制作していただきました。くらはしさんらしい繊細な筆遣いで描かれたその姿は、使い手の想像力をかきたてます。生き生きとしたキャラクターは、手に取るたびにその背景にある物語へと手招きするよう。
We asked artist Rei Kurahashi to do the illustrations for this issue. The illustrations were based on the world view of the newly written illustration work “Milk no Jikan”.
The figures, depicted with Kurahashi's characteristic delicate brushwork, stir the imagination of the user. The lively characters seem to beckon you to the story behind them every time you pick them up.

ARTIST PROFILE
くらはしれい岐阜県在住の画家・イラストレーター。絵本や雑誌の挿絵からオリジナルグッズの制作など、幅広く活躍。これまで手がけた絵本に『レミーさんのひきだし』、『王さまのお菓子』がある。近著『こねこのトト』ではイラストだけではなく文章も手がけている。
Rei Kurahashi
Painter and illustrator living in Gifu Prefecture. He is active in a wide range of fields, from illustrations for picture books and magazines to the production of original goods. Her picture books include “Remy-san's Drawing” and “Oosama no Okashi (King's Candy)”. In her recent book “Koneko no Toto”, she not only illustrates but also writes.
